Packaging Technician

Packaging Technician The primary function of a Packaging Technician is to coordinate packaging projects and support the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of packaging solutions across the organization. Typical tasks for this position include (but are not limited to) the following: Serve as the primary liaison between Marketing, Engineering, and Operations regarding packaging requirements and improvements. Create and maintain packaging designs, specifications, drawings, and related documentation. Utilize CAD software to develop and modify packaging concepts and layouts. Coordinate packaging trials and implementation activities with production and engineering teams. Support new product launches through packaging development and execution. Evaluate packaging performance and identify opportunities for cost reduction, waste reduction, and productivity improvements. Ensure packaging solutions are manufacturable, efficient, and aligned with operational requirements. Maintain packaging records, specifications, work instructions, and revision histories. Collect and analyze packaging performance data and communicate findings to stakeholders. Participate in continuous improvement projects utilizing Lean Manufacturing and problem-solving methodologies. Assist in troubleshooting packaging-related issues impacting quality, productivity, or customer satisfaction. Support standardization efforts across packaging materials, processes, and documentation. Communicate effectively with supervisors, managers, engineers, operators, and marketing personnel. Maintain a good record of attendance and punctuality. Manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously. Maintain accurate documentation and project records. Support company-wide continuous improvement initiatives.
