Highlights Pay: $40.70 - $61.05 per hour, depending on experience Location: Johnson City, NY Facility: UHS Wilson Medical Center Schedule: Part-time, Rotating Sign-On Bonus: Up to a $15,000 sign-on bonus for candidates who meet eligibility criteria What You’ll Do Assess, plan, coordinate, implement, and evaluate nursing care for an assigned group of patients Serve as a primary or accountable nurse based on unit assignment and patient safety needs Educate patients and families on health promotion, treatment plans, and disease management Utilize pharmacology knowledge to safely administer medications in accordance with UHS policies Support effective resource use, including staffing, time management, supplies, and services Adhere to all nursing practice standards, regulatory requirements, and UHS policiesParticipate in Nursing Shared Governance, Unit Council activities, and improvement initiatives Contribute to peer review processes and integrate evidence-based practice and nursing research Provide a supportive learning environment for new employees, students, and clinical observers Engage in ongoing professional development, continuing education, and mandatory training Requirements Education Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred Experience Previous clinical nursing experience in an acute care or ambulatory setting preferred Licenses & Certifications Current New York State Registered Nurse License required CCRN certification preferred Additional skills certifications as required (e.g., ACLS, PALS, TNCC) preferred Benefits Medical, dental, and vision coverage starting the first of the month after hire for employees working 24+ hours/week Flexible spending accounts and access to financial advisors PTO starts accruing from day one, with additional wellness rewards and support services About UHS United Health Services (UHS) is a locally owned, not-for-profit healthcare system in New York’s Southern Tier comprising four hospitals, long‑term care and home care services, and physician practices in Broome and surrounding counties.
