Your Mission:Develop and implement cutting-edge processes for fabrication, testing, and weld integrity to deliver high-quality products to our customers.Collaborate cross-functionally with multiple teams to drive operational excellence and innovation.Analyze NDT inspection reports and data to identify root causes and develop effective repair plans.Research and recommend state-of-the-art weld equipment and automation solutions to eliminate defects and enhance consistency.Conduct in-depth weld engineering analysis of materials and procedures to qualify weld procedures and performance.Leverage your expertise in metallurgy, material weldability, welding robotics, and programming to improve existing processes and create new ones.What We Offer:A competitive salary and benefits packageOpportunities for professional growth and development in a dynamic and innovative environmentCollaborative and supportive team cultureFlexible work schedule with a 9/80 scheduleTake the First Step Towards a Rewarding CareerIf you're passionate about welding engineering welding quality and ready to make a difference, apply now to join our team of innovators and shape the future of defense technology.Required Education, Experience, & SkillsBachelor's degree in Weld Engineering, Weld Engineering Technology, Mechanical Engineering, Metallurgy, or related discipline and 6 years of relevant experience in a manufacturing environment (or equivalent combination of education and experience)Excellent understanding of welding specifications such as AWS, ASME, or NAVSEAExperience with welding processes such as SAW, GMAW, SMAW, and GTAWStrong technical skills in Weld Engineering with ability to analyze and resolve complex engineering challengesWorking knowledge of NDT inspection techniques, processes, and interpretation of resultsExcellent communication and collaboration skillsWe will consider candidates with fewer years experience for a more junior position or additional experience for a more senior positionThis role requires regular presence in a manufacturing or fabrication environment. The incumbent must be able to access and safely navigate production areas which may include climbing, kneeling, stooping, and working in confined spaces. Must also be able to comply with all requirements including the use of required personal protective equipment (PPE) in accordance with company policy.Preferred Education, Experience, & SkillsCertification with AWS as a CWI or NDT Level II or III certificationExperience in heavy fabrication, manufacturing, and capital project implementationFamiliarity with NAVSEA T9074-AD-GIB-010/1688 and NAVSEA S9074-AQ-GIB-010/248 requirementsExperience with digital introduction on equipment for weld parameter tracking and automationPrevious experience with digital introduction on equipment for weld parameter trackingDefense contractor experiencePrior experience with automation such as cobots or articulating robotsExperience reviewing supplier capability and suitability to provide acceptable product and comply with government specifications.Experience addressing non-conformances and assisting in Root Cause and Corrective Action activities.Proven ability to develop and implement detailed work documentation, such as routings and work instructions, that enable weld personnel to execute welding tasks with precision and accuracy.Pay Information Full-Time Salary Range: $107359 - $182510 Please note: This range is based on our market pay structures. However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.
