Position: Cardiovascular Cath Lab Technologist

Location: Brick, New Jersey

Contract: 13 weeks

Schedule: Day shift, 7:00 AM–6:30 PM

Hours: 40 hours/week — 4 × 10-hour shifts

Traveler Rate: $115/hour

About the Opportunity

We are looking for an experienced Cardiovascular Cath Lab Technologist to join a fast-paced cardiac catheterization team in New Jersey.

This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled Cath Lab professional with strong interventional cardiology experience who is comfortable working with advanced cardiac support technology and participating in an on-call rotation.

The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with Impella and intra-aortic balloon pump (IABP) support, strong hemodynamic monitoring skills, and the ability to work effectively alongside physicians and multidisciplinary cardiac teams.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare procedure rooms, sterile trays, and specialized equipment.
• Assist physicians during diagnostic and interventional cardiac and peripheral procedures.
• Support temporary and permanent pacemaker placements.
• Assist with Impella and IABP circulatory support devices.
• Set up, calibrate, and monitor hemodynamic equipment.
• Obtain and analyze hemodynamic, cardiac output, and oximetry data.
• Operate power injectors and related sterile equipment.
• Assist with patient positioning and monitoring.
• Maintain cardiovascular imaging and information systems.
• Assist with vascular access, sheath removal, radial band application, and hemostasis.
• Recognize and interpret cardiac arrhythmias.
• Maintain inventory and procedure readiness.
• Follow radiation-safety and infection-prevention protocols.
• Participate in the on-call rotation.
• Perform routine equipment maintenance and quality checks.

Requirements

• Minimum 3 years of recent Cardiac Cath Lab experience .
• Strong experience assisting with invasive cardiac procedures.
• Impella experience required.
• IABP experience required.
• Permanent pacemaker placement experience preferred.
• Mac-Lab experience preferred.
• EPIC experience preferred.
• Graduate of an accredited Cardiovascular Technology, Radiologic Technology, or Applied Science program.
• Associate or bachelor's degree in a health science field preferred.
• BLS — AHA required.
• ARRT preferred.
• Radiology certification preferred.
• State radiologic license where applicable.
• ACLS must be obtained within 3 months if not already held.
• RCIS certification or Radiologic Technologist License within one year is preferred.

Schedule & Other Details

• 4 × 10-hour shifts
• 7:00 AM–6:30 PM
• Weekend coverage as needed
• One summer holiday and one winter holiday
• 7–10 on-call shifts during the assignment
• No floating required
• Green scrubs
• Ability to lift up to 40 lbs. and push/pull up to 100 lbs.
