Job Summary

World Wide Technology (WWT) is seeking an experienced Telecom Engineer / Network Engineer – Cisco Collaboration to support a large healthcare client onsite in Westwood, NJ .

The Telecom Engineer will be responsible for designing, implementing, configuring, maintaining, and troubleshooting enterprise Cisco collaboration and telecommunications solutions. This position will provide advanced technical support for voice, video, messaging, conferencing, and telephony environments, while working closely with network engineering, security, applications, vendors, and other IT teams.

The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on experience with Cisco Unified Communications Manager (CUCM), Unity Connection, UCCX, Webex, Cisco Meeting Server (CMS), Cisco Expressway, SIP, VoIP, and Microsoft Teams Calling .

Key Responsibilities

• Design, implement, configure, and maintain Cisco collaboration solutions based on business and technical requirements.
• Provide advanced troubleshooting and support for enterprise voice, video, messaging, conferencing, and telephony services.
• Handle trouble-ticket escalations and provide engineering support for customer telephony and video requests.
• Perform CUCM engineering , administration, configuration, and troubleshooting.
• Program, configure, deploy, and support Cisco telephony endpoints.
• Configure and support Cisco Unified Communications Manager (CUCM), Unity Connection, UCCX, Webex, CMS, and Expressway .
• Support Microsoft Teams Calling and integration with enterprise collaboration environments.
• Troubleshoot issues involving voice quality, call routing, SIP signaling, VoIP, video conferencing, and collaboration services.
• Monitor system performance, capacity, utilization, and overall health of Cisco collaboration infrastructure.
• Implement security controls and best practices to protect collaboration systems and communications infrastructure.
• Create and maintain technical documentation, including network designs, configuration guides, operational procedures, and troubleshooting documentation.
• Work with Cisco and other technology vendors for product support, troubleshooting, upgrades, patches, and issue escalation.
• Collaborate with network engineering, security, applications, and other IT teams to ensure seamless integration of collaboration solutions.
• Participate in system upgrades, migrations, implementations, testing, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Provide technical guidance and knowledge transfer to junior engineers and other team members.
• Stay current with emerging Cisco collaboration technologies, industry standards, and best practices.

Required Qualifications

• Associate's degree in Information Technology, Networking, Telecommunications, or a related field.
• Additional relevant professional experience may substitute for education on a year-for-year basis.
• 3+ years of experience supporting voice, telecom, or collaboration systems.
• Proven experience designing, implementing, configuring, and supporting Cisco collaboration solutions in enterprise environments .

• Strong organizational and time-management skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• CCNP Collaboration , CCIE Collaboration , or equivalent hands-on experience.
• Experience with cloud-based Webex Calling .
• Experience with Oracle ACME 3950 SBC and related packet/network troubleshooting.
• Experience with scripting and automation tools such as Python or Ansible .
• Experience with configuration management and automated deployment.
• Experience supporting large enterprise or healthcare environments.

Additional Requirements

• This is a full-time onsite position in Westwood, NJ .
• Some travel may be required.
