Title: Sr. Presales Engineer, Cloud

Sapiens is seeking an experienced Sr. Cloud Solutions Engineer to support our North American Go-to-Market (GTM) organization.

This is a customer-facing technical and commercial role that works closely with Sales throughout the opportunity lifecycle. The Cloud Solutions Engineer serves as a bridge between the customer, Sales, Product, Engineering, Security, Delivery, Finance, Pricing, and other internal teams required to develop a complete solution.

The successful candidate will combine strong cloud and SaaS knowledge with commercial awareness, excellent communication skills, and the ability to coordinate complex opportunities across a global organization. This role is part of the Go-to-Market organization and will primarily support North American opportunities while collaborating extensively with global teams.

Key Responsibilities:

Sales & Opportunity Support

• Partner with Sales throughout the opportunity lifecycle as the primary Cloud Solutions Engineering resource for SaaS, Agentic AI and cloud-related discussions.
• Lead technical discovery to understand customer operational objectives, architecture, security considerations, operational requirements, and cloud strategy.
• Support complex enterprise opportunities involving multiple Sapiens products, platforms, and technical dependencies.
• Serve as a trusted technical advisor to Sales and customer stakeholders throughout evaluation, proposal, and contracting activities ( participating in contract negotiating ).

Proposals, Presentations & Deal Support

• Support RFP, RFI, and other formal proposal processes, including cloud, SaaS, infrastructure, security, and architecture responses.
• Develop and deliver customer-facing presentations, solution workshops, architecture discussions, and demonstrations of Sapiens cloud and SaaS capabilities.
• Communicate complex technical concepts effectively to audiences ranging from engineers and architects to business leaders and executives.
• Participate in technical and commercial contract discussions related to SaaS and cloud services.
• Help identify material deviations from standard SaaS and cloud operating models before contractual commitments are made.

Cloud Solution Design & Technical Discovery

• Facilitate technical discovery sessions and workshops with customer architecture, infrastructure, security, operations, and executive teams.
• Explain Sapiens SaaS and cloud capabilities, including infrastructure, environments, networking, security, resiliency, monitoring, disaster recovery, and operational models.
• Support customers evaluating cloud migration and SaaS transformation strategies.
• Coordinate with Product, Cloud Engineering, Security, Professional Services, and other subject-matter experts to resolve complex technical requirements.

Commercial & Pricing Support

• Develop cloud cost models and commercial inputs for new opportunities, expansions, migrations, and contractual changes.
• Translate technical requirements into infrastructure, services, third-party components, environments, and operational assumptions required to support commercial pricing.
• Partner with Pricing, Finance, Sales, and other stakeholders to ensure cloud-related assumptions and costs are accurately represented in customer proposals.
• Support scenario modeling when technical or commercial requirements change.
• Clearly document assumptions, dependencies, exclusions, and factors that may materially affect solution cost or delivery.

Cross-Functional Collaboration & Continuous Improvement

• Work extensively across Sapiens' global organization, including Sales, Product, Cloud Engineering, Security, Professional Services, Finance, Pricing, Legal, and Customer Success.
• Act as an orchestrator for complex opportunities where inputs from multiple technical and business functions are required.
• Contribute to improving and standardizing Cloud Solutions Engineering processes, tools, documentation, and reusable solution assets.
• Maintain current knowledge of cloud architecture, SaaS operating models, cybersecurity, AI, and other technologies relevant to Sapiens solutions.
• Identify opportunities to improve speed, consistency, and scalability through standardization, automation, and AI-enabled tooling.

Skills & Requirements:

• 5+ years of experience in Solutions Engineering, Sales Engineering, Cloud Architecture, technical pre-sales, or a related customer-facing technology role.
• Experience supporting RFP/RFI responses, proposals, and contractual discussions.
• Strong customer-facing presentation, discovery, workshop facilitation, proposal-writing, and written communication skills.
• Experience supporting enterprise B2B software, SaaS, or cloud solutions; complex enterprise software experience strongly preferred.
• Strong cross-functional collaboration skills and the ability to coordinate information across a large, distributed organization.
• Strong understanding of public cloud and SaaS architecture, including infrastructure, networking, security, environments, resiliency, monitoring, and operational considerations.
• Experience presale solutions on Microsoft Azure or AWS.
• Ability to translate technical requirements into assumptions, dependencies, and commercial inputs.
• Experience supporting complex enterprise sales cycles involving multiple technical and business stakeholders.
• Ability to manage multiple opportunities simultaneously and respond effectively in a fast-moving sales environment.
• Strong analytical skills and comfort working with financial models, cloud cost models, spreadsheets, and commercial assumptions.
• Ability to communicate effectively with both deeply technical audiences and senior business stakeholders.
• Demonstrated curiosity and commitment to continuous learning, particularly across cloud, SaaS, security, and AI technologies.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience supporting enterprise insurance, financial services, or other highly regulated industries.
• Experience with enterprise SaaS transformation or cloud migration initiatives.
• Familiarity with cloud cost management, FinOps, or SaaS unit economics.
• Experience using AI-enabled tools to improve technical, analytical, or operational workflows.
• Experience with Salesforce or other enterprise CRM and sales tooling.
• Relevant AWS, Microsoft Azure, or cloud architecture certifications.

The successful candidate will be able to move between detailed technical discussions, commercial analysis, customer presentations, and internal coordination without losing sight of the larger objective: helping the Go-to-Market organization develop solutions that customers understand, Sapiens can deliver, and both parties can confidently commit to.

The role is primarily focused on North America but involves regular collaboration with global teams. Some customer and internal travel may be required.
