Simulation Learning Center Operations Manager

School of Health Sciences St. Edward's University of Austin, Texas invites applications for the position of Simulation Learning Center Operations Manager. The Simulation Learning Center Operations Manager provides comprehensive technical and operational support for the School of Health Sciences clinical simulation suites and skills labs. This role is responsible for the day‑to‑day readiness of healthcare training environments, ensuring that all simulation equipment, manikins, and computer hardware/software are functional and optimized for student learning. The manager plays a vital role in facilitating the set‑up, management, and organization of supplies, technology, and support for faculty/student teaching and learning in the simulation center. Required Qualifications Education: Associate's degree in healthcare, biomedical technology, computer science, or a related field. Experience: One to two years of related experience in healthcare simulation‑based technology or an allied health profession (e.g., EMT, CNA, LPN). Technical Skills: Proficiency with MS 365, AV systems, and networked computer equipment. Compliance: Ability to adhere to HIPAA, FERPA, and ADA guidelines regarding patient health records and student privacy. Preferred Qualifications Bachelor's degree in healthcare, simulation technology, or a related field. Experience with specific simulation software (examples might include Gaumard, Leardal LLEAP, CAE LearningSpace). Familiarity with Google services, in addition to MS 365. Familiarity with medical terminology. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs) Collaborative & Team‑Oriented Interdisciplinary Partnership: Ability to work effectively with diverse communities across the university, including faculty, staff, and clinical partners. Feedback Integration: Demonstrate a high capacity for receiving and implementing constructive feedback to improve simulation outcomes and lab efficiency. Team Synergy: Ability to work successfully both independently and as an active, supportive member of a multidisciplinary team. Student‑Centered & Professionalism Service Excellence: Maintain a customer‑service‑oriented attitude, prioritizing the learning needs and safety of students in every interaction. Ethical Standards: Maintain high ethical standards and a strong sense of confidentiality regarding sensitive information, such as student performance or health records (e.g., FERPA/HIPAA). Cultural Competence: Possess the ability to engage respectfully and skillfully with individuals from diverse backgrounds and cultures. Communication & Diplomacy Interpersonal Skills: Use diplomacy, discretion, and solid interpersonal skills when navigating a complex work environment. Information Exchange: Communicate clearly and accurately through various technological resources and in‑person demonstrations. Organization & Flexibility Adaptability: Thrive in a fluid and demanding work environment, maintaining efficiency while managing multiple simultaneous projects or changing priorities. Detail‑Oriented: Maintain high attention to detail when organizing workflow, digitizing technical documentation, and updating lab signage. Proactive Initiative: Use sound judgment and initiative to complete work assignments and interpret policies effectively.
