Unlock Communication Possibilities in the Majestic Pacific Northwest – Join Us as a Speech Language Pathologist
Your Journey Begins Here
What if your next position not only transformed lives but also provided you with a breathtaking backdrop? As a Speech Language Pathologist in one of the most dynamic neighborhoods of Portland, your role will extend beyond addressing communication and swallowing disorders. It will be about igniting potential, cultivating confidence, and forging connections that last a lifetime — from lively children discovering their voices to resilient elders regaining their independence.
This incredible opportunity allows you to work with diverse populations of all ages in a setting that combines outpatient therapy with occasional inpatient support. Whether your passion lies in early childhood language development, enabling adults with neurogenic communication disorders, or guiding seniors through cognitive-linguistic rehabilitation, you will find a fulfilling and flexible environment to thrive.
Position Responsibilities
- Conduct assessments for pediatric, adult, and geriatric populations utilizing both standardized tests and observational methods.
- Create tailored treatment plans that target both immediate and long-term communication, cognitive, or swallowing goals.
- Deliver individualized speech therapy sessions that hone in on communication, language skills, fluency, voice production, and swallowing functions.
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of physical therapists, occupational therapists, nurses, physicians, caregivers, and families to enhance patient care.
- Educate patients and their families to foster progress beyond therapy sessions.
- Support occasional inpatient evaluations and treatments, ensuring seamless care transitions.
- Keep comprehensive and timely documentation that adheres to regulatory standards.
- Remain abreast of the latest developments in the field through continuous education and collaboration with peers.
Requirements
- Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
- Completion of a supervised Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) if not ASHA-certified.
Licenses/Certifications
- State licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist.
- Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA is preferred.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification must be obtained within 30 days of starting employment.
Essential Skills
- Expertise in evidence-driven treatment methods for a broad demographic, coupled with a rich understanding of both developmental and acquired speech, language, and swallowing disorders.
- Exceptional communication skills with patients, families, and interdisciplinary colleagues.
- Capability to modify therapy approaches to accommodate a variety of cultural and linguistic backgrounds.
- Strong clinical judgment paired with innovative problem-solving skills.
- Comfortable with electronic medical records and documentation practices.
Perks of Joining Our Team
- Competitive salary commensurate with experience.
- Flexible scheduling options to promote work-life harmony and diverse caseloads.
- Choices for specialization in pediatrics, adult neuro rehabilitation, or geriatrics.
- Paid time off (PTO) and holiday remuneration.
- Medical, dental, and vision insurance packages.
- Support for ongoing education and professional growth.
- A collaborative workplace focused on high-quality care and continuous learning.
A Career That Takes You Places – Personally and Professionally
This role is more than just speech therapy — it's about joining a community dedicated to restoring voices, enhancing communication, and creating moments of joy through simple human interactions: connecting and being connected.
Here, you'll find camaraderie among fellow clinicians who value teamwork over rivalry, affirming that each patient has a story worth telling, and you're entrusted to help narrate it.

Who You Are
We are in search of a Speech Language Pathologist who is not only outcome-driven but also deeply empathetic. Someone who glimpses potential in the quietest child and envisions expressions of creativity; who hears the wavering words of someone recovering and recognizes determination.
You could be a pediatric expert wanting to expand into adult care— or a neuro-focused professional eager to integrate early interventions.
If your heart is in service and your skillset is robust, we would love for you to join our mission.
Let's Shape Futures Together
If you consider speech to be more than mere sound and therapy as more than just a series of tasks — if your philosophy revolves around fostering trust before reaching goals, cherishing laughter alongside language — this could be the perfect chapter in your career path.
Join us in our shared vision that elevates communication, connections, and the courage to start anew. Apply today and be a guiding voice in our team — helping others find theirs.
