Position Responsibilities

• Conduct assessments for pediatric, adult, and geriatric populations utilizing both standardized tests and observational methods.
• Create tailored treatment plans that target both immediate and long-term communication, cognitive, or swallowing goals.
• Deliver individualized speech therapy sessions that hone in on communication, language skills, fluency, voice production, and swallowing functions.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of physical therapists, occupational therapists, nurses, physicians, caregivers, and families to enhance patient care.
• Educate patients and their families to foster progress beyond therapy sessions.
• Support occasional inpatient evaluations and treatments, ensuring seamless care transitions.
• Keep comprehensive and timely documentation that adheres to regulatory standards.
• Remain abreast of the latest developments in the field through continuous education and collaboration with peers.

Requirements

• Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
• Completion of a supervised Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) if not ASHA-certified.

Licenses/Certifications

• State licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist.
• Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA is preferred.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification must be obtained within 30 days of starting employment.
