Role Overview

As a Patient Registration Coordinator, you will direct and coordinate the activities of all Patient Registration areas, ensuring prompt and accurate patient scheduling, insurance verification, billing, and collections. You will play a key role in protecting the hospitals accounts receivable and upholding patient privacy. Additionally, you will assist leadership in interviewing, orienting, and training employees to maintain a high-performing team.

What You Will Do

• Direct and Coordinate Patient Registration activities to ensure accurate scheduling, insurance verification, and billing.
• Protect the integrity of hospital accounts receivable while respecting patient privacy.
• Assist leadership in interviewing, orienting, and training new employees.
• Provide constructive coaching and feedback to team members to foster a positive work environment.
• Influence team members to achieve goals, encourage cooperation, and build trust within the group.

What You Will Need

Required Qualifications

• High School Diploma or G.E.D. equivalent.
• Three (3) years of experience in patient admitting, registration, and/or insurance eligibility and verification in a hospital or medical office setting.
• Strong computer skills and working knowledge of Microsoft Office products.

Preferred Qualifications

• Associates Degree.
• Experience as a Patient Service Representative.
