Growing together.The Senior Accounting Clerk position is to ensure the financial requirements of the Specialty Care Management department are addressed. This includes internal financial processes, such as funding Global Cash Cards and paying invoices, as well as providing documentation needed for external program finance concerns, such as preparing monthly billing statements for each employer group and reconciling the credit card statement to match claims and entries in the department database. This position maintains the relationship with external travel vendors, such as hotels and shuttle companies and reviews contracts on an annual basis. This is a complex role requiring knowledge of accounts payable, accounts receivable and complicated billing practices that vary from program to program or employer group to employer group.This position is full-time (40 hours/week) Monday - Friday. Employees are required to have flexibility to work any of our shift schedules during our normal business hours of 6:00am - 2:30pm PST. Overtime is not typical in this position. This will be on the job training and the hours during training will be based on your schedule or will be discussed on your first day of employment.Primary Responsibilities:Review, validate and maintain financial and other records as they relate to client specific programsResponsible for timely reconciliation of all accountsCommunicate financial discrepancies and resolveResponsible for submitting client billing based on billing parametersResponsible for all financial exchanges related to participant accountsIdentify errors in invoices/data and work to resolveReconcile funding with disbursements on each participant accountAssists with completion of quarterly reportingMaintains and reviews contracts with outside vendorsAnswers phones and directs calls to appropriate staffPrepare various financial, programmatic and administrative reportsInvestigate discrepancies between finance and claims departmentsPerforms routine audit of financial accountsDevelop and maintain positive working relationship with office staff members, clients, senior executive staff and other outside contactsPrioritize and work independentMay initiate new procedures in program/business systemsHandle multiple tasks and carryout follow-up itemsAbility to report to the officeDevelop Administrative Billing Processes specific to Client and programsTrain and act as a resource to other Finance StaffHelp to guide development of financial elements to our databaseOther duties as assignedYou'll be rewarded and recognized for your performance in an environment that will challenge you and give you clear direction on what it takes to succeed in your role as well as provide development for other roles you may be interested in.Required Qualifications:High School Diploma / GEDMust be 18 years of age OR older1+ years of experience in accounts payable or accounts receivable1+ years of experience with knowledge in Medicare, Commercial or Medicaid billing and collectionsBasic knowledge of Microsoft Office software applications (Word, Excel, Outlook, Access)Ability to work full-time (40 hours/week) Monday - Friday.
