We are currently seeking an experienced and detail-oriented accounting assistant to join our team. Job Description The accounting assistant will be responsible for processing accounts payable and accounts receivable, as well as performing light business-to-business (B2B) collections. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of accounting principles, excellent attention to detail, and the ability to work independently. Responsibilities will include: Processing accounts payable and accounts receivable in QuickBooks Ensuring accuracy and timeliness of all financial transactions Communicating with clients and vendors regarding payment status and invoices Performing light B2B collections and addressing any outstanding balances Reconciling bank and credit card statements Assisting with the preparation of financial reports for management Providing administrative support to the accounting department as needed Qualifications Associate's degree in accounting or related field 2+ years of experience in accounting, preferably in AP/AR Strong understanding of accounting principles Excellent attention to detail Ability to work independently Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Word Familiarity with QuickBooks or other accounting software Knowledge of B2B collections and customer service Benefits We offer a competitive salary, health insurance, paid time off, and other benefits.
