Client Overview: Our client is a franchise owner for major fast-food restaurants. Their corporate office handles all payroll and accounting in-house. They are currently looking to add an Accounting Assistant to their team. Salary/Hourly Rate $24/hr - $26/hr Position Overview The Accounting Assistant role is a full-time, Monday through Friday position supporting the Accounting Manager. Responsibilities include accounts payable, data entry, general ledger, paperless file maintenance, and future payroll duties. Responsibilities Of The Accounting Assistant Enter daily sales accurately via Excel workbook. Heavy Excel use for consolidation into accounting software program. Verify all bank activity weekly. Monitor store-level discrepancies. Process accounts payable invoicing weekly. Vendor file maintenance and computer filing. Navigate Vendor websites. GL entries for end of month, as assigned. Cross-train in Payroll, for future shared responsibility. Other duties as assigned by the Accounting Manager. Required Experience/Skills For The Accounting Assistant A minimum of 3 years of experience with Microsoft Excel and Office Outlook (Expert to intermediate). A minimum of 3 years of experience with accounts payable. A minimum of 3 years of general Ledger experience and understanding. A minimum of 3 years of payroll experience is required. Knowledge of basic office duties. Must be driven to enter accurate data. Ability to work alone with task lists and step-by-step written instructions. Advanced problem-solving skills a must. Must enjoy working with numbers and spreadsheets. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment during peak accounting times. Preferred Experience/Skills For The Accounting Assistant Sage 300 software experience is a plus. Education Requirements High school diploma is required.
