Title
Registered Nurse - Orthopedics/Trauma

Schedule
Nights, 3 x 12-hour shifts

Requirements
- Ortho trauma and total joint replacement experience required
- BLS certification required
- ACLS and NIHSS certifications preferred
- 2 years of nursing experience preferred
- Experience in a Trauma Level I/II setting preferred
- Proficiency in Epic charting system
- Skills in post-op care, wound management, blood product administration, and respiratory support

Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive nursing care to patients recovering from orthopedic trauma and total joint replacement surgeries.
- Manage post-operative drains and wound care, including Wound VAC.
- Administer medications and blood products as prescribed.
- Monitor vital signs and assess patients for changes in condition.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
- Participate in emergency response and code team activities as required.

Compliance / Notes
- State or Compact license must be in hand at the time of submittal.
- Core items/labs must be completed within 48 hours of contract signing.
- Previous staff must wait 1 year before returning as a traveler.
- Orientation and modules are completed onsite; RN modules average 4-6 hours (non-billable).
