Job Summary and Qualifications

The Registered Nurse is responsible for delivering direct patient care in accordance with the Registered Nurse Practice Act.

Utilizing effective communication techniques, the nurse maintains a safe and therapeutic environment. They identify nursing challenges based on the unique needs of each patient and develop personalized care plans through an interdisciplinary approach. Participation in performance improvement initiatives is also expected, along with providing care that aligns with the hospital's mission and vision.

In the role of charge nurse, the Registered Nurse oversees daily operations to ensure high-quality patient care in a supportive environment. Responsibilities include making staff assignments based on patient needs and staff skills, serving as a clinical resource, and responding promptly to inquiries from physicians, staff, or patients.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assess, plan, and evaluate patient care needs while executing physician orders.
• Administer prescribed medications, change dressings, clean wounds, and monitor vital signs.
• Document and communicate patient conditions appropriately using computerized systems.
• Educate patients and their families as part of a multidisciplinary care team.

Qualifications:

• Registered Nurse with a degree from an accredited nursing program.
• Current licensure with the Tennessee Board of Nursing.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification within six months of hire.
• Preferred: One year of clinical nursing experience.

Our medical staff comprises around 500 physicians across more than 45 specialties, many of whom have offices on-site.
