Global Process Engineer (Aseptic)

AbbVie seeks a Global Process Support Engineer to provide advanced technical expertise on aseptic capital projects and process troubleshooting across its technical operations worldwide. The role involves applying engineering knowledge to solve complex problems, lead projects, and advise management on aseptic processing equipment and methodology.
Responsibilities
- Lead and advise on aseptic capital projects, equipment selection, and advanced processing equipment applications
- Design aseptic solutions with early risk assessments and implementation strategies for major projects
- Troubleshoot operating issues and provide technical direction to cross-functional teams at aseptic sites
- Evaluate engineering advances and integrate solutions compatible with business needs and regulatory requirements
- Present project results and serve as organization spokesperson on aseptic operations internally and externally
Requirements
- Master's or PhD in Mechanical, Chemical Engineering, or related field
- 6-8 years pharmaceutical aseptic process design and equipment experience
- Subject matter expert knowledge in aseptic fill finish technology and suppliers
- Strong understanding of cleanroom design, regulatory requirements (EU and US), and microbial control methods
- Experience leading FMEA, risk assessments, and investigations for aseptic processes
- Knowledge of SCADA, MES systems, and secondary packaging technologies
- Demonstrated negotiation skills and ability to reconcile cross-functional differences
