Medical/Surgical Telemetry Registered Nurse

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | 36 Hours per Week | Rotating Shifts (Days/Evenings/Nights) | Every Other Weekend | Onsite

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care on a 41-bed Medical Telemetry unit serving cardiac, respiratory, metabolic, psychiatric, substance use disorder, GU, and GI patient populations
• Interpret telemetry strips and monitor cardiac rhythms continuously
• Manage cardiac drips, TR bands, and high-flow oxygen therapy
• Maintain clinician-to-patient ratios of 1:4/5 on days and 1:5/6 on evenings and nights
• Document patient care accurately using EPIC EMR
• Float to applicable units as needed based on census and staffing requirements

Required Qualifications

• Current Massachusetts Registered Nurse (RN) license
• AHA-certified Basic Life Support (BLS)
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in a single facility setting
• Minimum of 2 years of travel nursing experience
• Demonstrated ability to interpret telemetry strips
• Proficiency with EPIC EMR

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience with cardiac drips and hemodynamic monitoring
• Familiarity with TR band management and high-flow oxygen therapy
• Experience caring for patients with psychiatric or substance use disorder diagnoses in a medical setting
