Job Description
PCU/Stepdown (Telemetry/IMC) Registered Nurse

Schedule

12-hour NIGHT shifts with hours offered at 36- or 48-hour options.

Assignment Details

Assignment length is 13 weeks or longer.

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years clinical experience required.
• ACLS and BLS certifications required.
• NIHSS certification required.
• Telemetry monitoring and dysrhythmia recognition experience is mandatory.
• Experience with titration and management of vasoactive/cardiac drips.
• Knowledge of arterial line care and blood product administration.
• IV start and conscious sedation experience necessary.
• Must possess a valid NC or Compact license.

Responsibilities

• Manage and monitor patients in a telemetry stepdown unit.
• Perform assessments and provide necessary nursing interventions.
• Administer medication and manage IV therapy.
• Coordinate patient care with interdisciplinary teams.
• Educate patients and families regarding health conditions and care plans.
• Respond to emergency situations in a professional manner.

Compliance / Notes

RTO of up to 7 days is auto-approved (excluding holidays). Must work 2 of 3 major holidays. No RTO during the first week.
