The successful candidate will support the design, development, fabrication, integration, and testing of space-qualified RF and EO sensor hardware within the Business Unit. The candidate will work closely with senior engineers and cross-functional teams to develop innovative, cost-effective mechanical solutions across the full product lifecycle.Key ResponsibilitiesSupport mechanical design activities for antenna and sensor subassemblies using 3D CAD tools such as Creo or Siemens NX.Identify, assess, and mitigate technical risks; support troubleshooting and root-cause analysis during integration and testingAssist in performing mechanical analyses, tolerance stack-ups, and prepare engineering drawings for space hardware.Contribute to documentation and technical reports to comply with aerospace industry and program requirements.Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including electrical, thermal, and manufacturing engineering to meet interface and program objectives.Learn and apply space environment design considerations related to vibration, thermal extremes, contamination, and electromagnetic compatibility.Engage in knowledge sharing sessions, design reviews, and support continuous improvement initiatives.Basic QualificationsBachelor's degree in STEM with 5 years of experience, a master's degree with 3 years of experience in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related technical fieldsU.S Citizenship is requiredNo clearance required to start, but must have the ability to obtain and maintain a TS/SCI clearanceWorking knowledge of materials, specifications, manufacturing processes and design tools utilized for antenna panel and supporting electronics assembliesProficient with 3D CAD tools (AutoCAD, Creo, or Siemens NX)Demonstrated ability to work independently without appreciable direction, setting and meeting technical goals aligned with program objectivesSkilled in presenting complex technical concepts to technical and non-technical stakeholders, and collaborating across disciplines and programsPreferred QualificationsActive TS/SCI clearance with polygraph preferredProficiency with ASME Y14.5 geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T) and ASME Y14.100 engineering drawing practicesFamiliarity with thermal and structural analysis considerations, methodologies, and software toolsExperience with classified satellite and/or payload programs or large-scale space sensor developmentFamiliarity with PWB mechanical integration and surface-mount technology processesDepending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results.
