Registered Nurse Mother Baby / Postpartum

Job Summary: The Mother Baby/Postpartum Registered Nurse provides specialized nursing care to new mothers and their infants, supporting both clinical and emotional needs. This role involves assessing patient conditions, implementing care plans, and collaborating with physicians to ensure optimal outcomes.

Responsibilities:

• 
  Evaluate the health status of mothers and infants through comprehensive assessments.
  
  
• 
  Develop, implement, and update individualized care plans based on patient needs and medical diagnoses.
  
  
• 
  Perform therapeutic nursing interventions tailored to postpartum and neonatal care.
  
  
• 
  Document all care activities accurately, adhering to clinical standards and patient acuity.
  
  
• 
  Advocate for evidence-based practices and promote continuous improvements in postpartum care delivery.
  
  
• 
  Provide patient-centered education and support to mothers and families during the postpartum period.
  
  

Qualifications:

• 
  Minimum of 3+ years of mother-baby or postpartum nursing experience required.
  
  
• 
  Hold an ASN degree; BSN preferred.
  
  
• 
  Must possess active NJ State Registered Nurse license or multi-state compact license.
  
  
• 
  BLS certification from AHA is required; NRP certification also necessary.
  
  
• 
  Demonstrate proficiency in caring for postpartum and neonatal patients, with a commitment to best practices.
