Role Description The Information Technology Specialist is a full-time hybrid role based in Byron Center, MI, with some flexibility for work from home. In this position, the specialist will manage and maintain network infrastructure, workstations, and related hardware and software used across the company. Day-to-day responsibilities include monitoring system performance, performing routine updates and backups, resolving technical issues, and supporting end users with troubleshooting needs. The role also involves implementing and maintaining network security measures, assisting with IT-related projects, and documenting processes and configurations. Collaboration with internal teams to ensure technology supports business operations effectively and securely is an essential part of this role. Qualifications Strong foundation in Information Technology, including experience supporting business systems and user environments. Proficiency in Network Administration and Network Security to manage, monitor, and protect company networks. Advanced Troubleshooting skills for diagnosing and resolving hardware, software, and connectivity issues. Demonstrated Customer Service skills, with the ability to communicate clearly and support users of varying technical levels. Familiarity with desktop and laptop configuration, operating systems (e.g., Windows), and common business applications. Ability to prioritize tasks, manage time effectively, and work independently in both office and remote settings. Relevant certifications (such as CompTIA A+, Network+, or similar) or equivalent practical experience are beneficial.
