This is a high-trust, sales-adjacent role for someone who can sit across from builder principals and executives, diagnose what is really constraining their business, and shape capital solutions that are practical, credible, and commercially actionable.

Opportunity

This role is built for a senior operator, advisor, or finance leader who understands how builders think about land, inventory, construction timelines, balance sheets, liquidity, and growth. You will act as a product expert and capital diagnostician for builder-facing opportunities, helping translate builder needs into clear capital solutions and helping the commercial team engage the market with depth and credibility. You will be joining through a confidential search. The company name will be shared with qualified candidates at the appropriate stage.

What You Will Own

• Serve as a senior subject-matter expert for builder capital solutions, especially in conversations with homebuilders and builder-adjacent stakeholders.
• Diagnose builder financing needs across land, construction, inventory, project timing, growth plans, and capital availability.
• Partner closely with sales and leadership teams to evaluate opportunities, structure recommendations, and communicate solution fit.
• Translate complex builder and capital questions into clear, executive-ready narratives for internal and external audiences.
• Help identify which builder situations are a strong fit for the platform, which require deeper review, and which should not move forward.
• Support market conversations with credibility, judgment, and practical knowledge of how builders actually operate.
• Bring structured thinking to ambiguous opportunities, including tradeoffs, risks, constraints, and paths to execution.
• Help sharpen the product point of view for builder-facing capital solutions as the market develops.

What Makes You a Strong Fit

• You have direct experience with builder capital, homebuilder finance, residential development finance, land finance, construction finance, structured finance, capital advisory, treasury, or a closely related area.
• You have personally owned or materially shaped capital structuring, financing recommendations, or builder-relevant transaction analysis.
• You can speak credibly with builder executives and understand the practical realities behind their capital needs.
• You are comfortable in a sales-adjacent role where your impact comes from expertise, diagnosis, product judgment, and commercial partnership.
• You can move between strategic conversations and detailed analysis without losing the practical business objective.
• You bring senior presence, strong communication, and the ability to simplify complex capital topics for different audiences.
• You are energized by a role that combines market-facing judgment, product expertise, and hands‑on problem solving.

Transferable Backgrounds

• Relevant experience may come from several paths, including: Homebuilder finance, treasury, capital markets, or corporate development
• Residential development, land acquisition, or construction finance
• Real estate structured finance, lending, or capital advisory
• Builder-focused private credit, banking, investment, or advisory roles
• Senior commercial roles with deep exposure to builder capital needs and financing structures

Location & Work Model

This role is based in New York City / Manhattan and is strongly in-office. NYC-local candidates are preferred. Exceptional relocation cases may be considered, but this should not be viewed as a remote role.

Compensation

The expected total compensation range is USD 200,000–250,000 Yearly.
