Job Opportunity: Maternal Fetal Medicine Physician

Our organization is on the lookout for a board-certified or board-eligible Maternal Fetal Medicine physician to enhance our Women’s and Infants service line.

As the primary hospital system in the county, we have proudly served the residents of Tarrant County for over a century. This role presents an exciting chance for dedicated and innovative professionals to address complex medical challenges for patients in need. Alongside a fulfilling clinical environment, we are an urban teaching hospital with a rich history of training both physicians and medical students. Currently, we offer 18 residency and fellowship programs, all led by top-tier doctors from the DFW area.

Position Overview:

• Focus on ambulatory and hospital perinatal consultations and ultrasounds.
• Participate in a 24-hour academic OB program.
• Engage in resident education with expectations for academic and quality improvement research.
• Collaborate with the University of North Texas Health Science Center (UNTHSC) Texas College of Osteopathic Medicine (TCOM) and Texas Christian University (TCU) as well as the UNTHSC School of Medicine.
• Share call coverage with colleagues.
• Fetal Echo experience is preferred.

Team Composition:

Our Women’s and Infants team consists of:

• 10 board-certified OB/GYN physicians
• 6 subspecialists
• 21 Advanced Practice Providers (WHNP and CNM)
• 16 OBGYN residents

This collaborative group provides comprehensive services for women at every life stage, including preventive healthcare, low and high-risk prenatal, childbirth, postnatal care, menopause management, urogynecology, and gynecologic oncology evaluation and treatment. Our facility is designated as a Level I Trauma Center, Level III NICU, and Level IV MLOC, delivering approximately 4,000 babies annually with 24-hour in-house inpatient coverage.

Qualifications:

• Doctor of Medicine (M.D.) or Doctor of Osteopathy (D.O.) degree from an accredited institution.
• Completion of residency and/or fellowship training in the specialty.
• Board Certified/Board Eligible in Obstetrics and Gynecology and Maternal Fetal Medicine.
• A minimum of 5 years of independent practice experience is highly preferred.

Licensure and Certification:

• Current Texas Medical License.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Unrestricted DEA registration.

• Demonstrated knowledge in the assigned area, with competency in assessment techniques, diagnosis, and treatment processes.
• Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.

Key Responsibilities:

• Examine, collect, document, and maintain patient information, including medical history and examination results.
• Prescribe or administer treatments, therapies, medications, vaccinations, and other medical care to prevent or address illnesses, diseases, or injuries.
• Order, perform, and interpret diagnostic tests and analyze medical records to determine patient conditions.
• Collaborate with a clinical team of technicians, advanced practice professionals, and other physicians in making decisions regarding tests, diagnoses, and treatment options.
• Monitor patient conditions and progress, adjusting treatments as necessary.
• May perform surgical or non-invasive procedures within the specialty area.
