If you are someone who has real shop leadership ability and are looking for a challenging opportunity with a growing company, we want to hear from you!What You'll Do as a Shop Operations Manager:Building and managing the shop scheduleAssigning technicians and setting daily prioritiesKeeping jobs moving through the shop without unnecessary delaysSupporting technicians when they hit roadblocksCoordinating with parts, inventory, engineering, fabrication, and administrationMaking sure jobs are properly documentedWatching labor hours, job progress, and schedule commitmentsCommunicating job status and timeline updatesMaking operational decisions throughout the dayHolding quality standards before work leaves the shopManaging rework, warranty issues, and customer concerns after the saleHelping improve shop flow, accountability, safety, and efficiencyCustomer interfacing for fly-in service work, job updates, and problem solvingWhat You Need to Bring to the Shop Operations Manager Role:Heavy truck, equipment, fabrication, hydraulic, or manufacturing experience is strongly preferredOrganized without being rigid, practical and decisiveComfortable leading mechanics, welders, and techniciansAble to communicate clearly with both shop employees and customersStrong at follow-through and willing to hold people accountableAble to understand technical work without needing to personally perform every taskCalm when priorities change, while focused on quality, efficiency, and customer satisfactionExperience with truck equipment, hydraulics, PTOs, electrical, fabrication, or service work is a major plusWhy You'll Like Working with Doherty Staffing SolutionsEnjoy weekly pay, access to health coverage options through Benefits in a Card (including preventative and minimum value plans), and temp-to-hire opportunities for long-term stability where applicable.
