Role Description The CNC Press Brake Operator is a full-time, on-site position located in Richmond, VA. This role involves setting up, operating, and monitoring CNC press brake machines to bend and form sheet metal according to specifications and blueprints. Daily responsibilities include interpreting technical drawings, selecting appropriate tooling, performing test runs, and adjusting machine settings for accuracy and efficiency. The operator inspects finished parts for quality, records production data, and collaborates with supervisors and team members to meet production schedules. Routine equipment checks, basic maintenance, and adherence to all safety procedures are essential aspects of the position. Qualifications Strong machine operation skills, including experience with CNC press brakes and related production equipment. Hands-on machining and milling abilities for working with sheet metal and other materials. Knowledge of machinery setup, adjustment, and basic preventive maintenance. Experience with quality control practices, including measuring parts and verifying conformity to specifications. Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and work instructions. Attention to detail, strong problem-solving skills, and commitment to workplace safety. Previous experience in metal fabrication or manufacturing preferred; vocational or technical training in machining or industrial technology is beneficial.
