Registered Nurse - Labor and Delivery

Job Summary:
Provide specialized nursing care to patients in the Labor and Delivery unit, ensuring a safe and supportive childbirth experience. Collaborate with healthcare teams to deliver high-quality maternal and neonatal care.

Responsibilities:

• Administer evidence-based nursing interventions to support labor, delivery, and postpartum care.
• Monitor maternal and fetal vital signs, responding promptly to any changes or complications.
• Manage IV insertion, phlebotomy, and conscious sedation procedures with precision and patient safety in mind.
• Educate patients on labor progress, pain management options, and postpartum care.
• Maintain accurate documentation of patient assessments, interventions, and outcomes.

Qualifications:

• Hold a valid New York State RN License with primary source verification.
• Possess an Associate’s Degree (ASN, ADN) from an accredited nursing program.
• Demonstrate at least two years of Maternal and Child health nursing experience.
• Have at least two years of IV insertion, phlebotomy, and conscious sedation experience.
• Maintain current AHA BLS, AHA ACLS, and NRP certifications.
