Medical City Arlington – Ultrasound Tech (Full Time, Nights) Schedule: Wednesday – Friday, 6:30 P.M. – 7 A.M. Job Summary The Ultrasound Technician conducts diagnostic procedures to provide data for patient diagnosis. The position includes the following responsibilities. Responsibilities Perform diagnostic procedures using ultrasound technique. Select transducer and adjust equipment controls based on the organ being examined and test specifications. Explain procedures to patients and address their concerns. Enter test data and patient information into computer systems for record keeping. Assist physicians with ultrasound‑guided biopsies and other invasive procedures. Maintain and calibrate equipment. Monitor, record, and communicate test results using computerized documentation systems. Apply age‑specific patient care practices in performing duties. Orient and mentor new staff members. Provide a safe environment for administering contrast material. Assist with patient transport. Follow standard precautions and wear personal protective equipment as required. Demonstrate excellent communication and customer‑service skills. Work independently with minimal supervision, making independent decisions while maintaining tact, maturity, and a positive attitude. Initiative and judgment are required. Perform high‑level disinfection. Qualifications Educational requirement: Technical degree or vocational training in ultrasound or related field. Experience: Prefer at least 1 year of ultrasound experience. Licenses/Registrations/Certifications: Registered by R.D.M.S. in Abdomen or Ob/Gyn within 6 months of hire, promotion, or completion of training program. Registered by R.D.M.S (RVT) or (RVS) by C.C.I. BLS certification from an HCA‑approved vendor (required).
