Staff Attorney - Family Law Attorney

Legal Services of Greater Miami and its team of 40 attorneys have provided legal representation to low-income communities for over 60 years. The organization is a recognized leader in the legal aid community and is known for its creative and aggressive advocacy on behalf of clients. Legal Services of Greater Miami, Inc. is seeking attorneys admitted to the Florida Bar who are committed to social, economic, and racial justice and dedicated to protecting the rights of low-income residents in Miami-Dade and Monroe Counties. This position focuses on family lawmatters. Position Summary The Staff Attorney will provide legal representation in a variety of family law matters and manage an independent caseload. This role involves substantial litigation, client advocacy, community engagement, and outreach. Key Responsibilities Manage and maintain an independent family law caseload. Interview and advise clients, draft pleadings, motions, and other legal documents. Conduct depositions and discovery. Negotiate with opposing counsel and parties. Represent clients in court proceedings and before administrative agencies. Conduct client intake and home visits as needed. Build and maintain relationships with community organizations, client groups, and service providers. Develop and present community education programs and outreach events. Participate in special projects, clinics, and other assignments as directed. Qualifications Admission to the Florida Barrequired. Demonstrated commitment to social, economic, and racial justice. Passion for serving low-income and underserved communities. Experience or interest in family law preferred. Strong litigation, advocacy, communication, and client-relations skills.
