Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA) in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation (PM&R) Cancer Rehabilitation

As a Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA) in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation (PM&R) Cancer Rehabilitation, you will provide patient-centered rehabilitation care for people affected by cancer and its treatment. You will collaborate with physicians, oncology specialists, physical therapists, occupational therapists, and psychologists in an interdisciplinary cancer rehabilitation program focused on improving function, mobility, and quality of life.

Key Position Details:

• Provide primarily outpatient cancer rehabilitation care, with occasional coverage of inpatient rehabilitation.
• Support lymphedema management as part of cancer rehabilitation care
• Work locations may include Abbott Northwestern, Edina Centennial Lakes, and United Outpatient Clinic
• Work four days per week; Friday coverage is required
• Collaborate with a rehabilitation team offering strong physical and occupational therapy support

Courage Kenny Rehabilitation Institute, part of Allina Health, is seeking a Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation physician to join a well-established, collaborative, and mission-driven rehabilitation practice. This role offers the opportunity to care for patients across both inpatient and outpatient settings, provide hospital-based PM&R consultation services, and partner with a highly skilled interdisciplinary team to help patients achieve meaningful functional recovery. The position is supported by experienced physician and APP colleagues, strong hospitalist coverage, and engaged leadership committed to creating a stable, sustainable, and collegial practice environment.

Job Description:

• Orders and interprets medical diagnostics in tandem with attending physician
• Prescribes medications, treatments, therapy and medical equipment
• Conducts patient education when working to manage chronic illness or wellness care
• Refers for specialty care when determined
• Consults with physician when patient's needs outside of advanced practice provider's scope
• Promotes communication within the team and other interdisciplinary health care staff
• Acts as a resource to members of the team
• Collaborates with hospital staff by consulting and rounding on patients if designated by the specialty

Required Qualifications

• Master's degree - Completion of accredited Nurse Practitioner program OR
• Master's degree - Completion of accredited Physician Assistant program

Preferred Qualifications

• New Graduates may be considered
• Minimum 2 years experience in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation

Licenses/Certifications

• Certified Nurse Practitioner - American Nurse Credentialing Center (ANCC) certification within specialty required upon hire
• Certified Nurse Practitioner - MN Board of Nursing required upon hire OR
• Licensed Physician Assistant - MN Board of Medical Practice required upon hire
• Certification as Physician Assistant - NCCPA (National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants) required upon hire
• ACLS-BLS Tier 2 - Multisource required within 180 Days
• Drug Enforcement Administration required upon hire

Physical Demands

• Medium Work*:

Pay Range

Pay Range: $56.48 to $78.15 per hourThe pay described reflects the base hiring pay range. Your starting rate would depend on a variety of factors including, but not limited to, your experience, education, and the union agreement (if applicable). Shift, weekend and/or other differentials may be available to increase your pay rate for certain shifts or work.
