Controller (Contract to Hire or Permanent)

High-growth industrial company: revenue has grown several times over in just a few years with continued strong growth projected for 2027
Founder-built success story: started from scratch with no outside equity
High visibility seat: the only accounting leader in Houston
Room to grow as company scales: no CFO in place today
Early schedule: most of the team is in by 7:00-7:30 and out by 4:30-5:00 but flexible on schedule

Responsibilities

Operations- focused, own the financials, hands-on accounting and reporting
Project accounting: POC, sales orders, change orders, etc.
Partner with PMs and Ops on project tracking and KPIs

Required

Controller or Assistant Controller level experience with working knowledge of GAAP
Project-based, construction, fabrication, or manufacturing accounting
QuickBooks
Comfortable working onsite 5 days a week
