FLSA Status: Exempt Salary Range : $55,000-$65,000 (annually) The Opportunity This is an entry-levelrolelearning all aspects ofMPSWproducts and systems to estimate and manage projects.As theAssistant Project Manager/Estimator,this individual willbe responsible forcoordinating submittals, equipmentselection,ordering equipment,pricingand ship dates for each project.Must bedetailand customer service oriented and have excellent organizational skills.Position requiresa high levelof oral and written correspondence with the Sales Team,Customersand Manufacturers to ensuretimelycompletion of assigned projects whilemaintainingcustomer satisfaction.Must be able to work well with others in a fast-paced& high-volume environment. Responsibilities Create andmaintainjob files for eachprojectthroughoutitsduration Optimizetheprojectthrough the stages of product selection, specifications, plans, estimates, proposals, valueengineeringandredesigns Managemultiple projects on an ongoingbasis Communicatewith owners, architects, MEP Consultants and General, Mechanical and Electrical Contractors Organizeproject related data for orderentry Respond to and trackIOM & Submittalrequests Read,understandand interpret building plans &specifications Develop andgrowrelationships with customers, contractors, projectengineersandmanufacturers Determineproject requirements, constraints, andsales teamresponsibilities to meetall ofthe customer’s system design,installationand maintenanceexpectations Investigateconcerns, implementcorrectiveactionand communicatewith customers and co-workers as necessaryto maximize customersatisfaction The Required Profile One (1) to two (2)yearsofexperience in the HVAC, estimating, engineering, construction management or contracting environment; or equivalent combination of education andexperience Working knowledge of MEP consulting, architecture, design, CAD, general contracting, mechanical contracting,engineeringor construction industry a plus Ability to prioritize, multi-task, deal with ambiguity and manage high volumeprojects Strong PC skills in Microsoft Office applications including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook Other Skills/Abilities Strategic Skills Ability to learn new skills and knowledge. Ability to understand concepts and complexity comfortably . Open to change and will try anything to find solutions . Able to handle uncertainty and make decisions without knowing the whole story . Operating Skills Ability to discern between tasks to determine how best to accomplish goals and organize task/people assignments to get results in a timely way.
