BUSSER/BARBACK/ BARISTA (Floor Support Associate) Gjelina Las Vegas Hourly Pay Rate: Minimum wage per hour + Tips (DOE and state) Position Summary As a Floor Support Associate, you ensure tables and the bar are bussed, cleaned, and reset promptly. You assist in full operational support during service, maintain venue cleanliness before, during, and after service, and aid servers, bartenders, and managers with food and beverage delivery. You may also play Barista and Barback roles, preparing hot or cold drinks, managing bar supplies, and maintaining cleanliness of the back rooms. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Report for duty on time and use the time clock for check‑in/out, following Nevada Labor Law break policies. Maintain a clean appearance and hygiene, including dress code compliance. Know all menu items and ingredients to answer guest questions. Adhere to health, safety, alcohol control, and sanitation protocols. Build rapport with regulars and encourage new guests to become regulars. Organize, clean, and maintain all service areas, especially server stations. Prepare the floor during opening and closing shifts, stocking and cleaning for service. Clear dishes and glassware, reset tables efficiently and correctly. Polish and restock glassware and cutlery as needed. Assist the bartender with stocking bar, fulfilling orders, and clearing the bar. Accurately run drinks and food to tables. Attend to guest needs at the bar and on the floor. Communicate with expos, servers, and managers to support service. Understand floorplan, table numbers, and seat positions. Attend mandatory trainings and pre‑shift meetings. Support management in all aspects of in‑house service and events. Refill bottles, replenish garnishes, wash empty glassware, and clean up messes. Rotate inventory of liquor, bottled beer, and wine; follow FIFO for perishable items. Requisitions for bar supplies from warehouse per standards and policies. Keep beverage back rooms organized and free of clutter. Complete all assigned side work before and after shifts. Perform weekly inventory of products according to standards and policies. Qualifications Minimum 1–2 years of restaurant or related experience (preferred). Ability to understand and follow written and verbal instructions. Proficiency with relevant equipment and kitchen forms/systems. Knowledge of safety, sanitation, and food‑handling procedures. Ability to prioritize work and provide timely assistance to management and colleagues. Remain calm under pressure and handle unusual situations. Work collaboratively in a team environment. Problem‑solving, self‑motivation, and organizational skills. Work fast‑paced environment, often on feet. Professional appearance. Flexible schedule, including weekends and nights. High school diploma, GED, or in‑process (preferred). Certificates & Training State‑approved Alcohol Awareness Training / Certificate (TAM Card) State‑approved Prevention of Sexual Harassment Training / Certificate Food Handler Card, with knowledge of Department of Health rules for food safety. Physical Demands Stand and walk for long periods; lift and move up to 20 lbs regularly, up to 30 lbs frequently, and up to 40 lbs occasionally. Perform repetitive tasks such as bending, stooping, reaching, twisting, and using hands, while handling restaurant equipment and cleaning solutions. Visual requirements include close, distance, color, peripheral, and depth perception. Work Environment Moderate to loud noise; wet, hot/cold, slippery, or humid conditions.
