Financial Accountant

Budget Accountant Our client, a well known healthcare firm, is targeting a detail-oriented Budget Accountant resource to join a growing finance team in a highly analytical, fast‑paced healthcare environment. This role requires strong independent judgment, advanced Excel skills, and experience supporting budgeting, regulatory reporting, and financial analysis. Key Responsibilities Perform complex accounting and cost analyses using independent judgment Prepare and analyze monthly estimated contractual adjustments, charity, and bad debt Prepare and file Medicare and Medicaid annual cost reports and settlements Develop, maintain, and analyze annual operating budgets Prepare and file Federal, State, and Local tax returns Support reporting to the State COPN Regulatory Authority Interpret and communicate federal and state healthcare regulations Serve as a liaison with regulatory agencies, auditors, external consultants, and senior leadership Manage competing priorities and deadlines in a highly computerized environment Qualifications Education Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance (required) Master’s Degree in a related field (preferred) Experience Minimum of 2 years of accounting experience with budgeting, analysis, and financial statements (required) Prior healthcare accounting/finance experience (preferred) Skills Advanced Microsoft Excel skills (heavy use of pivot tables and advanced formulas) Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills Ability to work independently and exercise sound judgment Licenses & Certifications Certified Public Accountant (CPA) Seniority level Mid‑Senior level Employment type Contract Job function Accounting/Auditing Industries Hospitals and Health Care Benefits Medical insurance Vision insurance 401(k) #J-18808-Ljbffr Connect Search, LLC
