Delano Miami Beach acts as the brand's flagship location, re-establishing Delano as a trailblazer in luxury lifestyle hospitality.Job DescriptionUnder the general guidance of the Stewarding Manager, the Steward supports the seamless running of the kitchen, by maintaining the cleanliness of the kitchen, dishes, utensils, and equipment.Your key responsibilities include:Obtaining service area assignments at the beginning of each shiftEnsuring that all cooking utensils and equipment are clean, dry, and correctly stored in the designated areasEnsuring that kitchen work areas are kept clean and tidy, this may include sweeping, mopping, trash removal and other functions as requested by the managerEnsuring that the correct chemicals are used as part of your duties as dishwasherMaintaining a clean work areaAbility to work under demanding and strenuous situationsComplying with all Health and Safety functionsAny other reasonable duties as assigned by the supervisor or managerWe recognize we are in the hospitality industry and that may require us to provide lateral serviceWe will on occasion call for each individual in the team to, on a routine basis perform various related tasks as needed in the spirit of providing exceptional serviceQualificationsPrefer a minimum of six months of previous janitorial, stewarding, cleaning or warehouse experience preferredMust be at least 18 years of age or olderHigh School Diploma or equivalent preferredMust have an exceptional personality and hospitality driven attitudePossess a gracious, friendly, and fun demeanorAbility to multitask, work in a fast-paced environment and have a high level attention to detailMaintain positive and productive working relationships with other employees and departmentsAbility to work independently and to partner with others to promote an environment of teamworkMust be able to stand or walk a minimum eight-hour shift.Must be able observant and quick to respond to various situations while also multitasking and handling stressful situations.Must be able to twist, tow (push or pull), reach, bend climb and carry objects as necessary.Must have excellent communication skills and be able to read, write, speak and understand English.Must be able to work inside and outside at all times of the year as needed, based upon business volumes.Additional InformationAll your information will be kept confidential according to EEO guidelines.
