Director of IT Operations & Engineering

Salary: $125,000 - 150,000 per year Requirements:

• We require 8+ years of experience in IT operations, infrastructure, engineering, or technical services, including senior leadership responsibility.
• We are looking for leadership experience in an MSP, MSSP, or other multi-client managed IT services environment.
• We need broad technical knowledge across networking, infrastructure, cloud, cybersecurity, endpoint management, and support engineering.
• We expect experience leading multiple technical functions and directly managing managers or technical leaders who oversee their own teams.
• We value strong operational judgment, executive-level communication skills, and a proven record of improving performance in complex technical settings.
• Preferred qualifications include experience in a larger or mature MSP/MSSP, building or expanding Centers of Excellence or technical practices, co-managed IT, ITIL or other service management governance, P&L or budgeting responsibility, and exposure to both managed services and internal enterprise IT.

• We will rely on you to lead managers and technical leaders across NOC, SOC, Support Engineering, Infrastructure, Cloud, Endpoint, Project Delivery, and related functions.
• We expect you to improve coordination across technical teams and close gaps in ownership, communication, and handoffs.
• You will establish clear accountability, performance expectations, management rhythms, and operational standards.
• You will provide technical and operational direction on escalations, dependencies, risks, and cross-functional decisions.
• We will look to you to strengthen service delivery through better workflows, documentation, escalation handling, and operating practices.
• You will monitor and improve SLAs, KPIs, utilization, capacity, escalation patterns, project execution, and overall service quality.
• You will develop technical managers and build stronger leadership capability across our organization.
• You will help develop and mature our technical Centers of Excellence.
• You will partner with Client Experience & Service Delivery, executive leadership, and technical leaders to align operations with client and business priorities.
