Supervisor, Laundry

Job Summary The Supervisor, Laundry is primarily responsible for linen product quality, linen inventory control, and the laundering process of the linen placed in the guest rooms. Key Duties And Responsibilities Ensure that all laundry staff are familiar with all Housekeeping Standard Operating Procedures and that on‑job training is completed monthly. Ensure the laundry of residents’ clothing meets the highest standard, including ironing. Perform daily spot checks accurately. Monitor staff productivity. Keep linen storerooms stocked and updated with stock cards in place. Label all shelves with item description. Maintain an accurate daily stock control of linen inventory. Update daily linen dispatch sheets before dirty laundry collection. Ensure proper use of personal protective equipment. Keep inventory control spreadsheets signed off by the Executive Housekeeper before going off shift. Track monthly expenditure totals. Use laundry equipment safely and maintain it in good condition. Communicate any concerns with service providers to the Assistant Manager, Laundry or Executive Housekeeper. File and organize all documentation related to linen movement. Ensure linen is delivered to rooms when required. Submit daily checklists to the Assistant Manager, Laundry by week’s end. Manage tasks according to the daily checklist. Manage colleague uniform inventory and uniform cleaning. Inventory all stock immediately. Verify delivered items against invoices for accuracy. Report delivery discrepancies immediately to the Executive Housekeeper/Assistant Manager, Laundry. Maintain a record file of all delivered items processed by Manager Laundry for reference. Assist with other duties as assigned. Skills, Experience & Educational Requirements High school diploma. Basic computer skills: Word, Excel, and Opera. Basic accounting skills.
