Risk and Governance Manager ( Investments & Capital Markets )

Job Overview:


We are seeking a Risk and Governance Manager to oversee technology-related risk processes within Investments & Capital Markets. In this role, you will work closely with stakeholders and risk subject matter experts to identify and mitigate risks, enhance risk management frameworks, and strengthen the control environment . While this is an individual contributor role , you will collaborate with the director to coach and develop the team.

Key Responsibilities:

• Identify technology process risks and develop/document SOX and non-SOX controls .
• Conduct Risk Control Self-Assessments (RCSA) and support audit and 2nd Line of Defense (2LOD) activities.
• Track remediation actions, perform root cause analysis , and provide insights to senior management .
• Generate periodic risk and compliance reports , refining technical risk procedures as needed.

Qualifications:

• 5-10 years of experience in risk management, governance, audit, or related disciplines .
• Strong ability to assess technology risks and collaborate with business owners on remediation strategies.
• Experience in financial services or product development is a plus (willingness to learn is key!).
• Degree in a relevant field or equivalent experience.
• Hands-on experience with SOX, RCSA, and technical governance frameworks .
• Preferred Certifications: CIA, CISA, CISSP, PMP, CISM, CRISC.
