Internal medicine office looking for an experienced full-time front and back office medical assistant. Must be computer savvy, have fast typing skills and have knowledge of electronic medical records (EHR) systems, Nextgen preferred. Candidates must have a good knowledge of medical language, pay attention to detail, have excellent communication, writing and organizational skills. Must be a hard worker, a team player and dependable. This is a small, fun and supportive office, a pleasant personality is a must!

Responsibilities include:

• patient intake (vitals, medication review, brief history)
• performing basic office procedures (EKG, spirometry, ear lavage, administer medications and immunizations)
• refilling medications per office protocol
• providing patients with results per doctors instruction
• submitting prior authorizations and referrals.
• keeping exam rooms cleaned and stocked
• completing forms
• scheduling appointments
• insurance verification
• answering phones
• checking in patients
• billing procedures

Ideal candidate will have minimum of 2 years experience in primary care or an internal medicine specialty and be familiar with EHR systems. We are private 2 physician busy internal medicine close knit office. We work together as a team in order to accomplish the goals for the day. We service Medicare, PPO and HMO patients.
