Warehouse Specialist

Organic Products Packer (Warehouse/Production)

Position Summary: Responsible for packing organic products in a fast-paced production/warehouse environment while maintaining quality, accuracy, and food-safety standards. This role supports daily production goals by assembling packaging, labeling, inspecting product, and keeping the work area clean and organized.

Key Responsibilities

• Pack organic products into correct packaging (bags, boxes, cartons, trays) based on work orders.
• Assemble packaging materials and prep supplies (liners, inserts, seals, dividers).
• Apply and verify labels (product name, lot codes, dates, barcodes) for accuracy and legibility.
• Inspect products and packaging for defects (leaks, damage, contamination, incorrect count/weight).
• Follow food safety and sanitation practices (GMPs), including proper handwashing and PPE usage.
• Maintain a clean, organized workstation; support end-of-shift cleanup.
• Meet hourly/daily productivity goals while working safely and efficiently.
• Communicate issues (quality concerns, low supplies, equipment problems) to leads/supervisors.
• Assist with basic material handling as needed (stacking, palletizing, moving finished goods).

Qualifications

• Warehouse/production or packaging experience preferred (but not required if trainable).
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions and work at a steady pace.
• Comfortable doing repetitive tasks and standing for long periods.
• Strong attention to detail and quality.

Physical Requirements

• Frequent standing, bending, reaching, and repetitive hand motions.
• Ability to lift up to 30 lbs (as needed).

Work Environment

• Production/warehouse setting handling food/organic products.
• May involve cold/warm areas, noise, and exposure to food aromas; must follow sanitation rules.
