JOB SPECIFICS

OSF is looking for a Doctoral level clinical psychologist to join the Pediatric Psychologist.

\n
• Conduct psychological evaluations with assigned patient populations receiving care within a Level 1 Trauma Center that includes an acute care hospital, adult inpatient rehabilitation, neurological institute and OSF HealthCare Childrens Hospital of Illinois Heller Center for Kids with Cancer within the pediatric hematology/oncology clinic.
\n
• Direct and manage psychometrists assisting with evaluations with pediatric hem/onc patients.
\n
• Interpret psychological and psychological test data, making inferences about patient behavior and personality, and formulating treatment plans that will aid in behavioral and/or cognitive improvement, such as patient-specific compensatory strategies, health behavior change plans, or behavior management plans.
\n
• Provide interactive feedbackwithpatients and patient families thatconsiderscultural, educational, and language needs.
\n
• Timely completion of evaluation reports that clearly communicate results and recommendations for medical providers, outside agencies, and for patients and their families.
\n
• Provide follow-up care, as needed.
\n
• Provide consultation and liaison services within Multispecialty clinics and teams, as assigned.
\n
• Maintain required continuing education credits, as well as gain additional knowledge and training in specific patient populations and/or medical conditions, as needed.
\n
• Maintain professional standards of conduct, as required by state licensing board and by OSF Healthcare.
\n

• Build and maintain positive working relationships within the hospital system and outside agencies.
\n

• Maintain professional standardsof conduct, as required bystatelicensing board and by OSF Healthcare.
\n

• Clinical base hourly pay range for this position: $43.29- $53.46 hr. This is a salaried position.\n

QUALIFICATIONS

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

\n
• Doctorate Psychologist must be a graduate of an approved, accredited school and be licensed to practice psychology in all of its branches in the State of Illinois.
\n
• A valid and current license to practice clinical psychology issued by the Illinois Department of Professional Regulations\n

  PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  \n

  Pediatric psychology position:

  \n
  \n
  • Prefer candidates with experience in conducting evaluations with preschool-age through older adolescentpopulationswithin a medical setting.
  \n
  • Expertiseevaluatingand monitoringpediatric hematology/oncology patientsis preferred.
  \n
  \n
  \n
  • Experience with developmental evaluationsofinfants and toddlersand/or presurgical candidacy evaluationsis a plus.
  \n
  • Have completed a two-year fellowship program in Neuropsychology
  \n
  • Board Certified or eligible in Neuropsychology, or a pending application of licensure if in the probationary period of employment.?
