The Orthopaedic Surgery department encompasses various subspecialties, each axed towards achieving excellence in healthcare delivery and public service.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive care to orthopaedic patients under the supervision of specialty physicians, including conducting assessments, formulating treatment plans, and delivering therapeutic and preventative care.
• Perform detailed examinations, diagnose conditions, and make treatment decisions based on clinical findings including the interpretation of radiology images and laboratory results.
• Utilize advanced communication skills to take patient histories, write prescriptions for medications, and order necessary therapies.
• Assist in various surgical procedures, providing direct support to the attending orthopaedic surgeon while ensuring patient safety and compliance with surgical protocols.
• Manage a diverse array of patient care scenarios, including inpatient service, consultations, pre-operative evaluations, procedural interventions, and post-operative follow-ups in both hospital and outpatient settings.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Your work will primarily focus on a diverse group of orthopaedic patients ranging from young athletes to elderly individuals requiring joint replacements. You will play a pivotal role in enhancing the quality of life for these individuals, using your clinical expertise to guide them through their treatment journey, ensuring the best possible outcomes.

Qualifications

• A minimum of one (1) year of clinical experience as a Physician Assistant, with specific duties in orthopaedic care.
• A Master's degree from an accredited Physician Assistant program or a PhD in a relevant field.
• Valid state license to practice as a Physician Assistant, with national certification from an approved certifying body.
• DEA certification within three (3) months of hire.

Preferred Experience

• Previous clinical experience within orthopaedic surgical settings, particularly with familiarity in performing and assisting with procedures.
• Experience managing urgent community referrals and a solid understanding of wound care treatments.
• Proficiency in patient management across the continuum of orthopaedic care—from consultation to surgery to rehabilitation.

Compensation and Benefits

In recognition of your skills and commitment, we offer a competitive salary ranging from USD 120,000 to 160,000 annually, with potential bonus opportunities.
