In this role, you will oversee daily route operations, drive driver accountability and performance, foster a strong safety culture, and ensure exceptional service delivery across our local commercial accounts.Team Leadership & Driver ManagementRecruit, interview, hire, train, and mentor front load drivers and operations support staff.Set daily schedules, assign routes, and manage driver logs, truck reports, and daily vehicle inspection reports (DVIRs).Promote positive employee relations, resolve workforce concerns, and drive high team morale.Operations & Service ExecutionMonitor route efficiency and daily completion of commercial front load collections to maximize productivity and equipment utilization.Resolve customer complaints, service interruptions, and missed pick-ups promptly and professionally.Establish, review, and maintain operational and productivity standards across all shift phases.Maintain facility inventory for essential driver safety supplies and gear.Safety & ComplianceChampion a proactive safety culture that prevents accidents, eliminates injuries, and celebrates safe driver achievements.Ensure full operational compliance with local, state, and Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA/CDL) regulations.Conduct regular route observations, schedule and lead monthly safety meetings, and perform thorough accident investigations when needed.We offer a comprehensive rewards package designed to support your health, financial well-being, and work-life balance:Competitive Salary: $75,000 – $90,000 base pay with an additional 20% annual bonus potential.Paid Time Off: 15 days of PTO plus paid holidays.Healthcare Coverage: Comprehensive Medical, Dental, and Vision coverage.Medical Plan Options: 4 health plan choices, including an HSA option with an employer contribution and matching program.401(k) Plan: Retirement savings plan featuring a competitive employer match.Employee Assistance Program (EAP): Confidential support services, including free professional counseling for you and your family.Career Growth: Unmatched internal advancement opportunities across our growing North American footprint.GFL Environmental is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
