Registered Nurse - Emergency Room

Job Description

Job Summary:
Provide specialized nursing care to patients in the Emergency Room setting, ensuring rapid assessment, intervention, and stabilization of critically ill or injured patients. Collaborate with healthcare teams to deliver high-quality, efficient patient care during high-pressure situations.

Responsibilities:

• Assess patient conditions promptly upon arrival and prioritize care based on acuity.
• Administer medications, treatments, and interventions according to physician orders and established protocols.
• Monitor patient vital signs and EKG readings, ensuring compliance with state and facility standards.
• Document patient care plans, assessments, and interventions accurately in the electronic health record system.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement effective patient care strategies.
• Support patient and family education, providing clear communication about condition and treatment plans.

Qualifications:

• Hold an active RN license and meet state licensure requirements.
• Possess at least 2 years of recent Emergency Department experience.
• Demonstrate proficiency with EPIC electronic medical records.
• Complete required compliance and EKG exams, passing within the allowed attempts.
• Hold current BLS and ACLS certifications; PALS, PHTLS, or TNCC preferred.
• Be flexible for shift work, including night, weekend, and holiday hours.
