Clinical Director - Alternative to Incarceration

ATI Clinical Director CASES is seeking a clinician with strong leadership and direct service experience to support staff in delivering participant‑centered services within both community‑based and court‑based settings. As a member of the CSS leadership team, the Clinical Director will collaborate closely with program leadership, compliance and court stakeholders to support participant outcomes and overall program effectiveness. The candidate should be flexible and administratively strong with great clinical judgement. The role requires regular presence across the Brooklyn, Bronx, and Manhattan program and court locations to support staff, strengthen stakeholder relationships, and ensure consistency in program operations and service delivery. CASES is a New York City non‑profit organization at the forefront of Alternative to Incarceration (ATI) programs and comprehensive services for criminal justice‑involved populations. The ATI Clinical Director will lead the two long‑term ATI programs: 1) Reframing Opportunity, Alternatives & Resilience (ROAR) specializing in providing services to justice‑involved young adults (16‑27) in Manhattan, Brooklyn and the Bronx; 2) Nathaniel Community Success (NCS) for individuals (16+) with behavioral health needs in Manhattan and Brooklyn. Both programs provide tailored therapeutic case management with individual and group services. Shift Hours This position is full‑time Monday – Friday from 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM Salary $100,000 per year Location 4 West, 125th Street, New York, N.Y. 10027. 25 Chapel Street, Brooklyn, N.Y. 11201. 424 E147th Street, Bronx, N.Y. 10455. Our office is easily accessible by public transportation. Workplace Flexibility Flexible (for roles that have days that can be partially remote, e.g., being able to draft notes at home after going to the office/community in the morning). The role requires regular presence across the Brooklyn, Bronx, and Manhattan program and court locations to support staff, strengthen stakeholder relationships, and ensure consistency in program operations and service delivery. What You Will Be Doing Directly supervise ROAR and NCS Team Leaders Collaborate with internal court‑based teams and external court stakeholders to support seamless program operations Serve as a member of the CSS leadership team and contribute to strategic planning, program development, and continuous quality improvement initiatives Provide individual and group clinical supervision to staff working toward licensure and clinical hour requirements Identify training needs and contribute to ongoing professional development initiatives Collaborate with site managers in facilitating clinical and high‑risk meetings to support positive outcomes for participants who present with complex needs Prepare and submit quarterly program reports while maintaining collaborative relationships with the Mayor’s Office of Criminal Justice (MOCJ) and other key stakeholders to ensure compliance, communication, and program alignment Represent CASES ATI at external meetings with stakeholders and community partners What We Are Looking For Hold an active NYS registration as an LCSW or Clinical Psychologist A valid SIFI (Seminar in Field Instruction) certification Clinical expertise in working with individuals experiencing mental illness, substance use disorders, homelessness, trauma, and criminal legal system involvement Availability to work during set agency training times and travel to training sites necessary, along with capacity to train within agency standards Ability to work effectively with diverse teams and function effectively in an ambiguous environment Commitment to social justice and knowledge of NYC criminal legal system Must be able to commute to different boroughs and work sites Preferred Skills Bilingual Spanish Experience working with individuals involved in the criminal legal system Employee Benefits Medical Dental Vision Vacation and Paid Time Off – starting at 25 days‑off annually, plus an additional summer self‑care day 12 Paid Holidays per year Retirement 403b Competitive matching up to 6% Employee Referral Program Visit to learn more about benefits offered by the CASES Our Values PURPOSE : Hold people’s stories with dignity PEOPLE : Hold people’s stories with dignity UNITY : Commit to a shared mission RESPECT : Celebrate the strength of diversity PROGRESS : Always work to improve OPTIMIZE : Make the best use of resources SOLUTIONS : Work together to solve problems EMPATHY : Seek to understand others Although we would love to learn about the skills of every candidate, only selected candidates that are selected will receive a response.
