Responsibilities Conduct Exams: Administer vision, knowledge, and road tests to evaluate driver qualifications Evaluate Vehicles: Check vehicle conditions such as lights, wipers, and inspection status Verify Identity: Review applications and identity documents to detect irregularities and fraud Customer Assistance: Provide information on licensing, renewals, transfers, and card products Process Records: Enter test results, issue products, and follow service policies and guidelines Maintain Standards: Follow safety procedures, REAL ID rules, and customer service requirements Interested in learning more? Work Schedule and Additional Information Full-time employment Work hours are 8:15 AM to 4:45 PM, Tuesday - Saturday, with a 30-minute lunch. Overtime and travel to other driver license centers may be required as necessary. QUALIFICATIONS Minimum Experience and Training Requirements One year of experience as a Driver License Examiner Assistant (Commonwealth job title or equivalent Federal Government job title, as determined by the Office of Administration); or Two years of experience obtaining, evaluating, and providing information to the public. Special Requirements All positions require an active Pennsylvania non-commercial Class C Driver’s License or equivalent and twenty-one years of age at the time of application. All positions require no suspensions or revocations of a driver’s license during the five year period immediately preceding employment. All employees in this job hired after February 28, 2022, are required to obtain an active unrestricted Class M driver’s license within the first six months of employment or before the end of the probationary period and maintain it during employment.
