Sr ETL Developer

Role Description

To design, develop and improve software, utilising various engineering methodologies, that provides business, platform, and technology capabilities for our customers and colleagues.

• Development and delivery of high-quality software solutions using industry aligned programming languages, frameworks, and tools.
• Ensuring that code is scalable, maintainable, and optimized for performance.
• Cross-functional collaboration with product managers, designers, and other engineers to define software requirements, devise solution strategies, and ensure seamless integration and alignment with business objectives.
• Collaboration with peers, participation in code reviews, and promotion of a culture of code quality and knowledge sharing.
• Stay informed of industry technology trends and innovations and actively contribute to the organization’s technology communities to foster a culture of technical excellence and growth.
• Adherence to secure coding practices to mitigate vulnerabilities, protect sensitive data, and ensure secure software solutions.
• Implementation of effective unit testing practices to ensure proper code design, readability, and reliability.

Qualifications

• Design, develop and operate a data lake platform using Python, Apache Spark, Hadoop, Sqoop, Hive, PIG and SQL.
• Create high level design documents and exhaustive data maps to translate requirements to AbInitio Graph or Plan.
• Partner with business users, business analysts, and technology teams to comprehend data onboarding requirements.
• Develop AbInitio Graph, Plan and Unix shell scripts.
• Support system integration testing, user acceptance testing, and troubleshoot various problems/errors encountered during project development life cycles.
• Utilize in-depth knowledge of AbInitio products and concepts of Hadoop, Kafka, and Messaging Queue.
• Engage with users explaining existing functionality and offer potential solutions.
• Manage a team of three (3) junior and mid-level software developers.
• May telecommute.

Requirements

• Minimum Salary: $189,592 per year
• Maximum Salary: $195,000 per year
• The minimum and maximum salary/rate information includes only base salary or base hourly rate.
