Job Description

A school district in New Mexico is seeking 2 full-time School Registered Nurses (RNs) for the 2026–2027 school year.

Assignment Dates:
August 6, 2026 – May 27, 2027

Schedule:
37.5 hours per week (Full-Time)
Onsite only (no VOCO/virtual)

Caseload / Placement:

District placement (specific school site TBD)

Position Overview:

Provide school health services in accordance with district and state guidelines
Support implementation of the school health program per New Mexico regulations
Use the nursing process (assessment, planning, intervention, evaluation) to support student health needs
Identify and address health concerns impacting student learning (physical, social, and psychological)
Advocate for student health needs and rights
Maintain confidentiality of sensitive student and family information
Collaborate with students, families, school staff, medical providers, and community partners
Participate in planning and evaluation of school health services

Requirements:

Associate’s degree, Bachelor’s degree, or higher in Nursing
Active Registered Nurse (RN) license issued by the New Mexico Board of Nursing
Active New Mexico School Nurse License issued by the State of New Mexico
