Bilingual Ophthalmic Technician - The WoodlandsWe are seeking a motivated and patient-focused Bilingual Ophthalmic Technician to join a leading retina practice serving the Greater Houston area. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys direct patient interaction, thrives in a fast-paced clinical environment, and is looking to build a long-term career within a specialized healthcare setting.Schedule:Monday-FridayClinic hours range from 6:30 AM - 6:00 PM - 8 hour shift scheduled within this window based on clinic needs.Schedules are typically provided two weeks in advanceResponsibilities:Room patients and obtain accurate medical history, chief complaints, medications, and other relevant information prior to physician visitsPrepare patients for examinations and diagnostic testingAccurately document physician encounters and patient information within the EMR systemSupport physicians and clinical staff throughout the patient visitMaintain complete and accurate patient records while providing an exceptional patient experienceAssist with clinic workflow and patient throughput in a high-volume retina practiceCollaborate closely with physicians and fellow technicians to ensure efficient daily operationsClinic Environment:Extremely fast-paced, team-oriented settingClinic regularly sees 80-100+ patients per dayWork alongside approximately 8-24 clinical team membersEach physician is supported by a dedicated team of technicians and clinic staffHome clinic will be CypressTravel to Brenham every Tuesday and FridayTravel is coordinated by the organization and time spent traveling is paidRequired Qualifications:Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Biology, Life Sciences, Kinesiology, Health Sciences, Psychology, or a related field OR Minimum of 6 months of experience in a patient-facing healthcare environmentStrong communication and interpersonal skillsAbility to multitask in a fast-paced patient care settingStrong organizational and documentation skillsComfortable working with a high daily patient volumePreferred Qualifications:Previous experience in ophthalmology, optometry, medical assisting, patient care, or another healthcare settingExperience working with electronic medical records (EMR)Soft Skills for Success:Driven and patient-focusedStrong sense of urgencyAdaptable and proactiveTeam-oriented with a "jump in and help" mentalityThrives in a fast-paced environmentEager to learn and grow within healthcareJob Type & Location:This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Conroe, TX.Pay and Benefits:The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $18.00/hr.
