Disability Benefit Specialist

Working remotely in a full-time capacity, the Disability Benefit Specialist will evaluate claims, determine benefit eligibility, and guide employees towards successful return-to-work strategies while managing a caseload of disability claims. Key responsibilities Manage assigned caseload of Short Term and Long Term Disability claims Communicate with claimants, employers, and medical professionals to gather information regarding eligibility and benefit authorization Provide superior customer service by rendering timely benefit determinations and responding to inquiries Required qualifications Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience required 2+ years of STD/LTD claims adjudication experience Familiarity with FMLA/State leave claims is a plus Knowledge of ERISA regulations and disability-related procedures Proficiency in computer applications such as Excel and web-based systems
