As the Senior Logistics Management Specialist , you will provide programmatic support to one of our NAVSEA customers in the Washington, D.C. area. Bring your expertise and collaborative skills to make an impact on our military defense and safety of our sailors. Serco supports the US Navy as a subcontractor for their Team Submarine contract supporting the acquisition of submarines. The Team Submarine concept unifies once diverse submarine-related activities into a single submarine-centric organization with the goal of eliminating traditional stovepipe structures and processes that created impediments and inefficiencies in the submarine research, development, acquisition, and maintenance communities. Team Submarine provides improved communication among the various offices that contribute to the overall success of the United States Submarine Force.
Must have an active U.S. Department of War (DoW) Secret security clearance.
In this role, you will:
Spearhead obsolescence mitigation efforts for submarine components (including 688/21 CL and Seawolf), acting as the primary point of contact and demonstrating a deep understanding of US Navy Submarine culture by collaborating with ISEAs and warfare centers to ensure platform readiness.
Direct and facilitate cross-functional forums, including an 80-participant obsolescence "deep dive" and the 688/21 CL Drumbeat Meeting, efficiently communicating complex information, and driving the closure of hundreds of critical cases.
Perform Budget Management and Financial Support, managing a Core Maintenance Support budget of $18,000,000 for over 100 engineers, tracking funding execution, and coordinating the final stages of a $20 million Seawolf Class procurement on the SIBR Contract.
Leverage advanced MS Office skillsets (including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint) to develop custom tracking tools, maintain the Master OMIS Case List, and create system health charts to track metrics relating to submarine operational availability.
Compile, edit, and submit comprehensive reports by reviewing warfare center monthly statuses and processing Engineering Change Proposals (ECPs), ensuring all deliverables met strict Program Office guidelines.
Interface directly with senior management (GS-15+/Flag Level) and TYCOM by advancing the Top Management Attention (TMA) program, translating analytical insights into actionable recommendations, and drafting critical white papers.
Utilize extensive Navy Systems Knowledge to provide targeted support and training to government and contractor personnel regarding submarine operations, risk management, and certifications.
Build strong working relationships with PMS392, the Serco management team and other submarine stakeholders.
Drive Process Improvement and Cross-Functional Collaboration by leading cross-platform initiatives (such as the Govini pilot program) to introduce data-driven methodologies, ensuring deliverables are consistently met despite tight deadlines.
To be successful in this role you will have:
An active DoW Secret security clearance.
A U.S Citizenship is required.
Must have an active U.S. Department of War (DoW) Secret security clearance.
A Bachelor's degree in any discipline and 8 years of relevant experience.
or an Associates Degree and 10 years of experience will be considered in lieu of Bachelors degree.
or a High School Diploma/GED and 14 years of experience will be considered in lieu of degree.
A Strong customer, interpersonal and organizational level communication skills (written and verbal).
The ability to travel 10%.

Salary range: The range for this position can be found at the top of this posting. This range is provided as a general guideline and represents a good faith estimate across all experience levels.
