Outpatient Pediatric Occupational Therapist

Outpatient Pediatric Occupational Therapist (OTR) – Virginia Provide individualized one‑to‑one care to children from birth to age twenty‑one, working collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team to create and implement customized treatment plans. Encourage parents and caregivers to participate in sessions so they can transfer skills and exercises into home settings. Responsibilities Assess, diagnose, and develop treatment plans for pediatric patients across a range of neuromotor, sensory, and developmental challenges. Deliver evidence‑based occupational therapy interventions in outpatient settings, including hands‑on facilitation, adaptive equipment evaluation, and education for patients and families. Collaborate with physical therapy, speech therapy, and applied behavior analysis (ABA) teams to coordinate comprehensive, integrated care. Document progress, outcomes, and treatment plans accurately and timely using the organization’s electronic health record. Participate in ongoing quality improvement and clinical education initiatives to maintain best‑practice standards. Qualifications Graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapy program. Current or pending licensure as an Occupational Therapist in the state of Virginia. Demonstrated dedication to exceptional patient outcomes and quality of care.
